Service: Prototype

A working prototype for a fixed price.

We build the core of your idea so real people can use it. Test it, show it to investors, and decide what to build next before you spend more.

What it is

A real app, focused on one thing

A prototype is a small, working version of your app. It does the one or two things that matter most, well enough that real people can try it. It is not a slide deck or a set of drawings.

The price is fixed before we start, so you know what you are spending. When it is done, you have something to test, something to show, and a clear plan for what comes next.

What you get

What you get at the end

  • A working app

Ready to install on test phones or use on the web, with the core features working.

  • Designs for the main screens

The look and flow of the app, ready to build on.

  • A product plan

What to build next, what can wait, and a rough plan for the full build.

  • A data map

What the app collects, where it lives, and who can see it.

How long it takes

Usually 4 to 6 weeks

  1. ScopeWe agree on the one or two things the prototype must do.
  2. DesignWe design the main screens and how they connect.
  3. BuildWe build the prototype and share progress as we go.
  4. Hand offYou get the prototype, the plan, and a walkthrough.
What it costs

One fixed price

From $15,000

The price is set after a scoping call. It does not change unless you change what the prototype needs to do.

Questions

Questions about prototypes

How much does a prototype cost?

Prototypes are a fixed price, starting at $15,000. You'll know the price before we start, and it only changes if you change what the prototype needs to do.

Do I own the code?

Yes. Once the project is paid for, you own the code, designs, and app store listings we create for you.

What can a prototype include?

Usually the core flow of your app and the screens around it. We agree on the exact list before we start.

Is the prototype thrown away afterward?

Often we build on it. We tell you up front whether the prototype is meant to grow into the full app or to test an idea quickly.

Can I show the prototype to investors?

Yes. That is one of the main reasons founders start here.

What if my app handles health data?

Before we write code, we map what data the app collects, where it lives, and who can see it. Then we build to the rules that apply to you.

Our privacy and security approach

What if testing shows my idea needs to change?

That is a useful result. It costs far less to learn it now than after a full build. We help you decide what to change.
